Arcadia, CA – One of my favorite authors to follow is Dave Berkus.  He has been a great mentor of mine for about 20 years.  I am on his Berkonomics blog list.  Weekly, with Berkonomics, he share tips and anecdotal experiences on the topic of being an entrepreneur or start-up business.  Normally I write about IT management and security related topics.  But I found his most recent blog so valuable and compelling I thought I would share it with you.

Here is a chance for you to share something really cool with your marketing and sales department.  I did not realize that it is possible to download .CSVs with e-mail addresses from LinkedIn and Twitter follower lists.  If your company marketing or sales department is using Google Remarketing, Google Match or mailing list based marketing, this is a great way to extend your company’s marketing reach.  I downloaded my LinkedIn list and got more than 2,000 e-mail contacts.  We are going to do the same with several other people at Alvaka with long rich reaches on social media.  By doing this I estimate will expand our qualified contact reach four fold.
